Smith & Wesson Top Break .38 Single Action 2nd Model (Model 2, 2nd Issue)
This is a recently acquired Smith & Wesson Top Break single-action revolver. It has a 5-shot fluted cylinder and a 4-inch round ribbed barrel with patent date. The front sight is a round blade, with the rear sight being a notched raised portion of the barrel latch. It has a blue finish, round butt frame, and checkered black hard rubber grips with S&W logo molded in. Serial numbers for this model range from 1-108255 with 108255 firearms manufactured from 1877-1891. It's in overall good condition for its age with normal signs of use and patina.
