Ithaca World War II Era M 1911 A1 U.S. Army 45 Auto

This is a recently acquired pistol in good condition with an armed forces history. The Ithaca M 1911 A1 U.S. Army is a classic semi-automatic pistol that was widely used by the U.S. military during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked "ITHACA GUN CO., INC. ITHACA, N.Y." and the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the right side as well as "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". The left side of the frame features the "FJA" inspection stamp. This pistol was made in the USA with a manufacture date of 1945. It has a 5" barrel, parkerized finish and checkered grips. This pistol comes in a heavy-duty tactical box and lock from CMP and the Direct and General Support Maintenance Manual from the Headquarters, Department of the Army, dated 22 June 1964.
