Remington Targetmaster 510 .22 Short, Long, Long Rifle

This is a recently acquired Remington Targetmaster 510 .22 Rifle. It features a 25"-barrel, blue finish, and solid wood stock. The receiver, bolt and trigger have traces of the original color case. It has a Remington black diamond checkered butt plate that appears to be a replacement piece due to its slightly oversized fit. There is also wear to the finish on the lower butt stock. Front and rear sights are missing. These guns were produced from 1939-1962 and were known for being accurate rimfire "working guns". Overall, it's in decent condition with normal wear and handling marks for its manufacture date of 1944. The barrel is clean with good rifling. This gun would make a great plinker or varmint getter.
