This is a recently acquired, well-loved rifle that is ready for a new home. The Winchester Model 71, introduced in 1935 and produced until 1958, is a lever-action rifle developed as an improved version of the Model 1886. Chambered exclusively for the .348 Winchester cartridge, it was designed to replace several older cartridges like the .33 WCF and .45-70 Government. The Model 71 features a robust design suitable for hunting large North American game. It's highly regarded among collectors and hunters, especially early production models like this 1936 example.
